Councillor

Rachel Nowch

I bring extensive experience in local government and community leadership to my role as a councillor. Since June 2024, I have served as Parish Clerk for Isleham Parish Council, supporting a large and active parish. In this position I am closely involved in all areas of council business, providing executive support and guidance to ensure effective decision‑making and smooth day‑to‑day operations.

To strengthen my governance expertise, I am currently undertaking the CiLCA qualification, building a comprehensive understanding of the legal and procedural framework that underpins parish councils.

Alongside my local government work, I am a Chartered Member of the CIPD with over 25 years’ experience in senior HR roles across multiple sectors, including time as an independent HR consultant within the voluntary and community sector. This has given me valuable insight into the needs and priorities of local residents and the challenges communities face.

I have also served on the leadership team of a major leisure trust, gaining strong experience in service delivery, strategic planning, and partnership working. Since 2017, I have been a trustee and the secretary of Tuddenham Playingfield, deepening my commitment to grassroots community development.

I am passionate about supporting Tuddenham through the upcoming local government reorganisation and am committed to ongoing training to ensure I remain an effective, informed, and responsive representative for residents.
